i was thinking about how much i loved getting a book in the mail from my friend. and i had an idea.

  1. Whoa! Pick me!!! I have a list about a mile long of books I'd like to read...I'd probably get David Platt's book "Follow Me" and maybe a new book or two to read with the kids? Best giveaway ever, in my opinion. :)

  3. Oooooo, I'd love to get some more classic series books for my fam. We're collecting them and I have many in my fam who reread books. Lots! Like Charles Dickens, nancy drew series, biographies, Where the Red Fern Grows, Louisa May Alcott, Emily Dickinson, p.d. Eastman, H.A. Rey ....

  6. i would love to get more classics! Romeo and Juliet, Catcher in the Rye, The Great Gatsby, Huckleberry Finn, Fahrenheit 451. those ones they made you read in middle school and high school that you just couldn't get into because all you wanted to read was baby sitters club and other teen novels that all had similar story lines... or was that just me? ;)

  7. I love books...but I realized yesterday that the only books i have for my 1 year old daughter are the ones they've given us at the doctor's office. So I would spruce up her collection! I think I'd have to get "Duck for President" and "Knuffle Bunny" because they both make me laugh out loud!

  8. I would totally get Bread and Wine, Shauna Niequist's new book...I missed the memo on getting it for free if I blogged about it, and it sounds amazing! I would also get a book for a friend who just had a baby (which is adding to someone else's library, so that counts, right ;)) and the second 4 books in the Ramona series.

  12. i don't know how i would choose. the new shauna niequist book, or perhaps a devotional book from jen hatmaker, or the baby companion book, but also there are a ton of books i would like to get for my kiddos. decisions, decisions.

  20. oh HOW perfect this would be for me right now. I have soo many books on my Amazon wish list I probably can't even count that high xD ....if I won this I would definitely get One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp for my sister for her birthday, and then I would get No Fear Of The Storm by Tim LaHaye (been studying end time events in Bible study so this one is high on the list:):)) annnnd also Lady In Waiting (can't remember the subtitle/author) because I am most certainly a lady in waiting.. :P

  26. I love love love books!! There's a book called The Out of Sync Child that I really want to get for my SPD middle child!! It's on my list along with a couple of cookbooks like " Cooking for Isaiah"!!!! I would so love to win this!!!

My list is crazy long but I'd love Desperate by Sarah Mae and Sally Clarkson (everyone who has read it is raving) and I'd like to pick up Jacob Have I Loved which was a childhood favorite of mine. My daughter has another Junie B. Jones on her wish list and I might add a Ramona to that as well.

  59. We are all big readers in my house...but honestly, I'd give the card to my 10 year old son for him to get the 6th Harry Potter book and he's been nagging for another book in a different series. We normally buy books at Half Price Books because he goes through them so fast and it gives him a chance to earn some of his money back when he trades books back in :)

    but i have three relaxing vacays coming up. and i neeeeeeeeed books to read while i'm away.

  73. This has to be my favorite type of giveaway...encouraging reading! My son is 17-months and as a former Youth Services librarian, I'm constantly trying to grow our library. I'd purchase: Reading with Babies, Toddlers, and Twos, Life-Size Farm, and The Thankful Book. Yay!
