i waited and waited for tuesdsay to come. it was date night with one of my dearest friends.
my little sister. younger, i guess, she's not so little anymore.
she's a wife, mother of two sassy girls and has an important job outside of the home.
time together is difficult to manage, but our schedules finally aligned and we soaked up every second.
fresh snow was falling on the night streets, and it was cold.
we raced the bitter wind to snag a table at our favorite restaurant.
something about this place, it makes it feel like you're not in the 'middle of nowhere' north dakota.
we ordered drinks and fancy food.
we talked about everything. we laughed.
being out was a treat in itself, but with linnea it was extra sweet.
we decided to catch a movie. not much happening at the theater past ten, so choices were slim.
of all the films we actually want to see, it was funny what we bought tickets for.
it wasn't awful though. something we have in common is, we love a good gangster movie.
i mean look at us. practically gangsters ourselves.
i've said it before, but it's true every single day.
living so close to my sister is one of the greatest treasures i have in this life.
linnea is sunshine and delight to my heart. the very best sister.
