well. there really ought to be a photo of my costumed child in this post.
we have purposely not purchased a costume for halloween this year. yet.
elijah obsessively loves dress-up and costumes. all year long.
we can't wait to have him choose a fun new one! we would just rather pay a sale price. amen.
as a consolation for the missing costume cuteness, i brought you a treat:
this recipe is from a vintage church bulletin. i mean, at least 1994.
it's like caramel. but not.
i've tweaked it to my own liking. i'm a boss like that.
it's my favorite dip for apples, in all the land.
14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups butterscotch chips
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons white vinegar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
your favorite apples, sliced
in saucepan on low heat,
melt and stir butterscotch chips, condensed milk and salt until very smooth.
remove from heat, add vinegar and cinnamon, mixing thoroughly.
serve warm with apples slices!
store leftovers haha in refrigerator, and reheat when you need a snack.
make it today!
and for the cute costume fix, a memory of last year:
