happy thursday, friends!
i'm excited to share a sweet featured sponsor with y'all.
she's an amazing, talented soul, and has a treat for one of you!
meet my dear friend marie of found fabrics!
Hello! I'm Marie.
I am a sinner saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. He is my everything!
I believe that since we are made in the image of God,
the ultimate creator and maker,
we desire to create and make too!
My creativity doesn't follow any one medium...
I'm into everything.
I paint
draw
design
sew
crochet
work with clay
make jewelry
screen printing
woodworking
and on and on!
I get curious about a certain art or medium, and then explore it!
It was tough when I decided to start selling my creations and being a fabric supplier.
I had to figure it all out on my own.
What came out of that learning process was some self-confidence that I was lacking,
and an intense desire to be extremely helpful to other crafty, artistic ladies
who were just getting started! Two years ago I started "Modern Craft Co-op".
We are a local group of young women exercising our creativity in a variety of ways,
helping each other, learning new things together, doing craft shows together, and giving God
the glory for it all! It is my joy to share my knowledge, talent, and encouragement with others!
my daughter loves to "help" me sew:)
I enjoy supplying awesome designer fabrics to other makers & sellers at a price below the retail cost.
good fabric can cost so much!! I want to cut them a break too because it can be so competitive
and hard to make a buck in handmade sometimes:)
I am also a fabric retailer because almost nothing beats the feeling of having lovely,
fresh fabric on crisp bolts delivered straight to my door!! I get sooo excited, open it right away,
call my bff neighbor, and generally try NOT to unravel it all on the floor and roll around in it! {sigh}
I grew and harvested my own sweet potatoes this year!
My husband & I are celebrating our 13th anniversary next month (woo-hoo!)
We have 3 awesome kids ages 10, 8, and 3. I love, love, love my family,
Being a wife and a mother is without a doubt the most important thing I do!
I homeschool, bake almost every day, exercise almost everyday to balance the baking :)
garden, sing constantly, redecorate, rearrange, and repaint my home non-stop.
(did I mention that I homeschool and run 2 at home businesses? This one is kind of necessary!)
When I design/sew in my studio, I drink coffee and listen to Christian hip-hop and rap.
