Hi there.  I'm Stephanie.

A lover a Jesus, my family, Diet Dr. Pepper's, Flaming Hot Cheetos, and Community Coffee.

I'm from the South, say y'all a lot, and think everyone should like Creedence Clearwater Revival.

I don't drink sweet tea and can whistle like crazy.

Oh. And I love popcorn. Preferably drenched in butter. But I'll eat it three days old.

I have a blog called The Honey Pot
where I share a little bit of this and a little bit of that.
I am crazy in love with my high school sweet heart, Nick.
We've been married 24 years and I still pinch myself that I'm his bride.

We have 3 daughters, 2 son-n-laws and 3 grandchildren.
They call me "Honey" and my husband and I  have discovered
that the whole grand kid hype is indeed totally legit.
Being a grandma rocks.

(Me and my girls on Lydia's wedding day....before we got all gussied up)

My People.

I share a lot about our everyday happenings...
we are all about family and love to celebrate and whoop it up as often as we can around here.
I try to find ways to use glitter or sprinkles every chance I get.

Of course, I'll be the first to tell you life isn't always fun....
it doesn't always feel like a party or something to celebrate.
I've had my share of trials and adversity...I talk about those too.
I just choose joy in spite of them.  If you hang out around The Honey Pot long enough,
you will find that Jesus is who our home is centered around.

He's the reason we can party in the good times and the bad times.

My middle daughter, Lydia,  recently got married and we pretty much did the entire wedding ourselves...
the cake, the food, the flowers, the decorations, heck...my husband even married them
(did I mention I'm a pastor's wife?)....so I have this arsenal of amazing
diy wedding projects that I have started to share on a regular basis.
We have always been a one income family and the Lord has given me the ability to stretch a dollar pretty far.
We have already given two of our daughters away in marriage and while giving them beautiful weddings
with over 350  guests both times without taking out a loan or using the first credit card.
I give God all the glory for that and enjoy sharing on my blog some of the tips and things
I've learned  to have a beautiful wedding on an extremely tight budget.

And one last thing... I do have a little etsy shop.
It's also called The Honey Pot.
"Where sweet stuff happens and pretty things are made"
What started off as a place to show some of the pretties
I was making for my grand daughters has evolved into so much more!

I have a deep love for vintage and it spills over into my designs.

I also have a great appreciation and love for the rich hymns of old
and my necklaces featuring lines from these have quickly become favorites!
I have a hard time keeping them stocked.

These are some fun little guys that I have recently listed.

Wouldn't they make a cute friendship necklaces?

And because any friend of Hannah's is a friend of mine...

I'm gonna give one of these away!

You choose between a Hymn Necklace or  Gnome necklace

Which ever rocks your world :)

And... use the code

  13. I can't believe I am just now stumbling upon sweet Stephanie. And can I just say she does NOT look old enough to be a grandma or 24 years married?!? I'm really not trying to sweeten her up(not that, that would even be possible) by saying that. It's really true!
