long ago and far away, my friend jessica started this great project. pinterTest kitchen.
you know how we pin and pin things on pinterest? i mean, we pin amazingness.
but what do we do with those incredible boards of goodness?
i've tried several things i've pinned, but i don't know that i've ever recorded it much here.
so, for the first time ever, you get to see my pin come to life.
and kids, get ready, because this is a 100% pinter-tested winner:
i pinned this weeks ago. and i ain't lion, i think about it every other day.
i decided it was time to treat myself to some frozen pie excellence.
fact :: i love every single thing that i've made from kristan's blog.
and she's a gem herself! funny and fabulous all the way.
i gathered my ingredients, from target, because horrors! we didn't have any butterfingers in the house!
chocolate pre-made crust
8 oz block cream cheese, softened
1/2 of a 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup powdered sugar
8 oz tub cool whip, thawed
8 fun size butterfinger candy bars, chopped
a little something i realized during all this? i hate pre-made crusts like this.
it was too stressful trying to keep it intact. surprisingly, it's held up well.
i mixed the cream cheese, condensed milk, peanut butter, and powdered sugar in my mixer bowl.
then beat on medium until smooth and completely combined. next i folded in the cool whip and
the chopped butterfingers-i reserved a 1/4 cup for the top of the pie :) after pouring it into the crust,
i sprinkled my remaining candy on top and placed it in the freezer until firm.
ok. confession. i didn't wait until the pie was super frozen to try it. we couldn't wait long enough!
it was mostly firm, and it was totally delicious. creamy, rich and super sweet.
today i had a piece
for after lunch and it was super frozen and of course, delicious.
i highly recommend this simple pie. in fact, come visit me, and i'll make you one!
have you baked, cooked or crafted anything from your pinterest boards lately?
