cuter than the three stooges

in a perfect world, or at least one in which i have my way, i'd post a bunch of sweet photos of elijah.
he's the cutest. he is fun to watch and i try to capture his charm, i really do.
even with a decent dslr camera, which i am learning slowly how to use properly, it's just plain tough.

for today, in lieu of a peek at elijah, i give you a few of his best buddies.
we picked them up when we were at disneyland last year!

my kid adores the muppets.
this makes me especially happy because
patrick and i love the muppets, too. holla.
i highly recommend the newest muppet movie,
we were able to see it in the theater and it was delightful!

sometimes we borrow old muppet show episodes from the library.
alice cooper and julie andrews are a couple of my favorite ones. obviously.
and of course the muppet movies! i love all the cameos of celebrities, you know?
the great muppet caper and the original muppet movie are on heavy rotaion in our dvd player.
excellent, hilarious entertainment for all!

who's your favorite muppet?
mine's kermit. and grover if you count sesame street. which i do:)
Sweet Shot Day

  1. When I was a tiny, TINY tot (as in, 2ish) my parents took me to Sesame Street on Ice. In the middle of the performance, right as the lights went out and everyone got quiet, I stood up on my stadium seat and yelled, "I LOVE YOU ERNIE!" So I guess ever since childhood Ernie has been my favorite!

  7. As a little girl I always loved the muppet babies cartoon. Do you remember that one? It was a favorite of mine on Saturday morning. Which reminds me... what happened to good Saturday morning cartoons?

  8. Aww!!! So cute!! I wasn't exposed to the Muppets very much growing up. I guess my parents weren't that into them? I remember watching Muppet babies pretty often and of course Sesame Street and then watching one or two of the movies at my cousins' house but that's it. Well my husband apparently was VERY exposed to the Muppets growing up! So I've been seeing a lot more of them. We saw the movie and loved it! It was so sweet! I'm learning more and so far, Kermit and Beaker are my favorites.

  21. We're fellow Muppet-lovers, too! My boys kinda laughed at me as I quite literally counted down the days until the most recent Muppet movie (LOOOOOVE!!!). When I find out when it's coming out on DVD, I'm gonna be counting again, because I seriously can't wait for it!

My older son (age 7) asked for a toy "Walter" for Christmas so, as he put it, "I can have another brother who won't be mean to me." So he got Walter and his brother (age 4) got Kermit, and neither toy has been absent from a boy's bed a single night since. They also got some super-cute Muppets clothes from Target... I totally wish they would make them in my size!

  25. My FAVORITE movie growing up was The Muppets Take Manhattan (which apparently came out in 1984, but I watched in it in the late 80s/early 90s). To this day, I can still sing songs from that movie. If I had to pick, I'd go with Ralph (Rowlf) :)

  26. My bro in law did stunts in the new movie. He got to hang out with Jack Black all day and laugh and laugh. We all went to see it together... so fun. I don't know if I have a favorite... probably Kermit. And the chickens. :)
