For unto you is born this day
in the city of David a Savior,
who is Christ the Lord.
And this will be a sign for you:
you will find a baby wrapped in
swaddling cloths and lying in a manger."
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude
of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
"Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those
with whom he is pleased!"

  1. Oh what a fun giveaway! Love me some Mindy Smith! "Oh Holy Night" has been one of my favorite Christmas songs the last few years. It can give me chills almost every time.

  2. This is such a fun giveaway! :) My favorite Christmas song is O Come All Ye Faithful. I also love O Holy Night (which was sung at our wedding. We got married a week before Christmas).

  3. My favorite Christmas song...dang...that's tough stuff! I am fan of the classics...and by classics I mean Judy Garland's version of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas! :)

  4. What a great giveaway! I have to say I love Angels We Have Heard on High, and Emmanuel. Avery and I drive around singing at the top of our lungs "Wonderful Counselor, Lord of Life, Lord of Love!". : )

  5. Hands down it is 'Oh Holy Night'.
2 Versions I love especially,Kenny Rogers which is what I listened to while growing up. I know every word to the Kenny Rogers Christmas tape and the other is the one from Home Alone. There is a children's choir singing it while Kevin is talking to his neighbor. This song brings tears my eyes as I think of both the sweet Christ child AND Christmas' gone by filled with wonder and beloved family no longer here.........

  6. My fave is the little drummer boy!! I just imagine that little boy with the drum playing for our powerful. Thank you for another awesome-sauce giveaway.:)

  7. i love this song by Sara Groves called "To Be With You".

i have some favorite classic hymns, but this original by Sara just tops my charts right now:)

  8. My favorite guilty pleasure Christmas song is "merry christmas" by the waitresses. My favorite for real song is Carol of the Bells! My favorite meaningful song is Silent Night- because only Christ being born could cause a silent night! Neither of my boys were silent during their first night!

  9. it's hard to pick just one! :) i love the song "o come o come Emmanuel." the music is so haunting, and i just love the words! it makes me remember the meaning of Emmanuel: God with us.

what a great giveaway, you're SO sweet!!

  10. "Mary Did You Know" is my ALL time favorite. I cry every single time. I just can't imagine how Mary must have felt, and the loneliness she might have felt.

A close second is "Midwinter" only because my mother used to sing that for her solo at church every Christmas.

  11. I have so many but I love Joy to the World just because of how the lyrics came to life for me after I got saved. It was like hearing it for the first time and finally made sense..."let every HEART prepare Him room....
    good stuff

  12. oh sign me up! My favorite song it "white Christmas" Bing Crosby & Ella Fitzgerald style ; )

  13. I like all the old Christmas carols... and I like it when they are sung well. If I had to choose a favorite singer, it would be Jared. :) I could listen to him sing all day long, which is a good thing because he does sing all day long. Did he tell you he sang in the mall while ringing the salvation army bell? He is a goober.

I love this giveaway. You are sweet.

  14. my favorite is O Holy Night. It just sums up the Holiday season for me!

  15. Ok, Hannah, I was absolutely certain when I clicked in to leave a comment that my favorite song is "Do You Hear What I Hear?" And then I started reading through these comments: "O Come Emmanuel" ~ chills! "Mary Did You Know" ~ huge tears! So I have decided that you must have meant to ask what our favorite Christmas PLAYLIST is, in which case I can include all three...right? ;)

  16. This year it's O Holy Night. It makes my heart swell with hope and surrender to the King!

  17. classic favorite: o holy night
modern favorite: born to die (shane and shane)
fun favorite: all i want for christmas (mariah carey)
modern twist on a classic fav: o come all ye faithful (starfield)

  18. Now it is Deck the Halls... just because my almost 2 year old sings the fa la la la la la la part... love.

  19. Traditionally I like O Come All Ye Faithful, Modernly I like All I want for Christmas by Mariah Carey and pretty much the entire Christmas CD by Casting Crowns. Love your little giveaways babe, you are so super sweet! xoxox

  20. The three O's:
    O Come O Come Emmanuel
    O Come All Ye Faithful
    O Holy Night

    And two other favorites:
    Carol of the Bells
    Home Alone Theme

  21. ooh such fun treats! especially that baker's twine! One of my favorite christmas songs is "christmas time" by smashing pumpkins... it's such an unlikely song from them and full of beautiful sentiment and charm. always makes it feel like christmas for me and remind me of my sweet older brother who'd always introduce new cool music to me.

  22. First, how fun is your blog header!
Loving the look of your place right now. :)

My favorite traditional Christmas song is
O Holy Night. Those lyrics - whew.

    Favorite less traditional songs?
All I Want for Christmas by Mariah Carey
and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen by
The Barenaked Ladies. LOVE that one.

    Fun giveaway, my friend!

  23. Oh really just one favourite...... I love all the traditional christmas songs but this year it would have to be 'Let it Snow'. I am dreaming of snow this year. I have only ever had one white Christmas. We don't get much snow in Australia at Christmas time (hehehe). I would love to take Andrew and Ben one day xo.

  24. The First Noel & Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas!

  25. pick me, pick me!

my favorite christmas song... can't pick. love them all (well, almost all, "christmas shoes" is the STUPIDIST non-traditional christmas song EVER).

resonating with me today is, "joy to the world."

He rules the world with truth and grace
    and makes the nations prove
    the glories of His righteousness
    and wonders of his love.

    yummy lyrics!

  26. I'm a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas music. I like the classics like "Joy to the World" and "O Holy Night."

  27. totally thought i was too late for the giveaway. haven't even looked at blogs in days!! my favorite christmas song is o holy night. i cannot make it through without crying!

  28. I love The Little Drummer Boy--all time favorite--any version will do: ) Miss you, friend!

  29. one of my favorites the last few years is "lo how a rose e'er blooming" we sang it at the first college i was at. I just love it.

  30. Silent Night... I love it's simplicity and beauty. I love O Come Emmanuel, too. And Sleigh Ride for some fun! :)

  31. Religious: O Come All Ye Faithful by Barenaked Ladies & Sarah McLaughlin
Secular: Baby It's Cold Outside from Elf.

♥ LOVE it! Thanks for the giveaway!
