five-o-rite {bottle brush trees} and a note

happy wednesday!
how's your week been so far?
elijah has been sick off and on for awhile now, we've been laying low.

i've got christmas on my brain, that's for sure!
today, i'm thinkin' of bottle brush trees.
i'd love to have a little forest of them, like this.
vintage, reproduction, classy, kitschy...it's all good.

what fun christmasy things make you smile?

a note: starting tomorrow, i'll be 'sharing christmas' on the blog as we await christmas day.
make sure you stop by, i've got some fancy guests coming that you won't want to miss!

  4. Things about Christmas that make me happy are sitting in the living room with all the lights off except the Christmas tree.

  8. these are pretty. i like pretty.
christmas music makes me smile, twinkle lights, and my girls creating their own christmas memories together (decorating doll house, putting out stocking they made last year for their a.g. dolls...they melt me).

  9. Right now I'm sitting outside at Starbucks, right next to a wonderfully smelly Christmas tree lot, drinking a grande soy no water chai, listening to Christmas music, trying to get some work done, but being distracted by my favorite blogs. Feels very Christmasy. :)

  14. Oh my goodness! These are all so cute! I wished we lived near each other....we could get together one afternoon and make a forest! LOve the vintage-ness. My mom informed me at Thanksgiving that she has in her attic the original ornaments from her and my daddy's first Christmas together and she "meant "to bring them to me! I was like "MOM"!! Now I can't quit thinking about how much I'm gonna love them. (This would have been 50 years this past October for them to be married! He passed away when I was 13.) Your trees made me think of those ornaments!
ps. i was thinking about you during church...thinking, "I haven't heard from my sweet friend in a day or two".. and then I come home and have a sweet message from you. Love that :)
