today is a sweet day for tricks and treats.

i've been asked often "how i feel" about halloween.
honestly, i can think of no better way to explain my thoughts
on the holiday than how john piper shares here:

today is also reformation day, i mentioned more about that on my other blog.
in honor of martin luther, i share this quote:

"so when the devil throws your sins in your face and declares that you deserve death and hell, tell him this: "i admit that I deserve death and hell, what of it? for i know one who suffered and made satisfaction on my behalf. his name is jesus christ, son of god, and where he is there i shall be also!"
{martin luther}

today i'm thankful for:
:: an overnight date with my sweetie husband ::
:: opportunities to be salt and light ::
:: candy corn pumpkins ::

what are you thankful for?
